What is a Cyclone Separator?
A cyclone separator is a mechanical air pollution control device that uses centrifugal force to separate particles from a gas stream. Known for its simple construction, lack of moving parts, and low maintenance costs, it is widely used for pre-separation.
Working Principle
Dirty gas enters the cyclone body tangentially, following a spiral path. Centrifugal force pushes particles toward the outer wall where heavier particles settle by gravity. Cleaned gas exits upward through the vortex finder.
Multicyclone Systems
Multiple small-diameter cyclones operating in parallel provide significantly higher efficiency than a single large cyclone. MDSJ Process designs high-efficiency multicyclone and cyclone battery systems for demanding applications.
